Employment
I am presently the Ecommerce Software Engineering Manager at CustomInk. I have held a number of similar positions as well, including:
- American Society for Engineering Education, Senior Developer & IT Project Manager, Dec 2003–Mar 2008.
- Corporation for Enterprise Development, Senior Manager of Information Systems, Aug 1999–Dec 2003.
Education
My knowledge of programming and management is self-taught. I have, however, had some formal education in unrelated areas.
- St. John’s College, Annapolis, MD. Graduated in 1995 with a BA in Philosophy and Comparative Literature. Surprisingly useful in my work in software development.
- US Navy Nuclear Power School, Orlando, FL. Trained in electronics and nuclear propulsion systems. In 1996 I attained the rating/rank of Electronics Technician, Petty Officer 3rd Class. If called upon, I could probably draw the reactor butterfly diagram; otherwise most of that knowledge is gone.
